MS Vista -- File Search

Got a new Dell PC with MS Vista installed.............getting on well, but, some things are taking a lot longer to adjust to.

Can anyone advise me as to how I can perform a search for files that have been added or modified between two dates.

i.e. I wish to search for all files added or modified between the dates, 28 August 2008 to 30 October 2008.
I use this to burn copies of those files onto a CD for backup, which I can put in a safe place, off site. Was very easy with Windows XP.

Hope someone can give me a bit of guidance

I had tried something similar, but seeing an explanation in writing really helped.

Sadly, don't think Encarta 2009 would have helped. No researcher worth his or her salt would ever simply accept a single source for any answer to a question. That is why we used to build huge libraries. But, even then, we all had our favourite books that we went to first.

However, it was a very foolish researcher who referred only to one or two sources; for the public-at-large and students-in-particularly, were extremely adept at spotting omissions, errors, misquotes, or stale facts

The Internet has made the-proving-of-facts-and-answers, a very much easier task.
