Can anyone recomment the Sony Alpha 200 digital slr camera 18-70mm lens.

I would like to use it for sporting photos particularly football and if somone is receiving a trophy would it be able to take a picture quickly and not miss the subject getting the trophy?

How long does the battery last? Where would I be able to get a battery at a reasonable price.?
