I dont want to go to Hell

I died this evening but before my judgement God is giving me something to work out to make up for all my misdeeds.
In front of me are two doors, identical, but one leads to heaven and one leads to hell. In front of each is an angel. One angel always tells the truth, the other always lies.
God has allowed me to ask only one of them (my choice) any question (my choice) to find out which door I should go through to get to heaven.
What should I ask?

Approach one of them - any of them, let's call him Door A - and ask "if I ask the other angel if theirs is the door to heaven, what will they say?"

If you receive the answer "Yes", it means the angel you've asked is either telling you the truth, in which case you use door A (as it means he's telling you the other will lie), OR he's telling you a lie, in which case you still use door A as the other would tell you No in reality.

If you receive the answer 'No', again he's either lying or telling the truth, and either way you use Door B - for exactly the opposite reasons to the above.

Phew - that was a mouthful.

Which ever you choose, ask if he will help you chuck the other behind the door he's guarding. If he agrees then you know he's evil and is guarding the door to hell. If not then you know who he is ... ;-)

you could just ask one angel any question you wanted, say for instance, 'do you have y fronts on' If the angel says no, you just ask the other angel 'did he say no' if it is the lying angel he will have to say no and if it is the truthful angel he will say yes.
