Morning,

Could anyone give me words of wisdom.

Everytime I log on I get a text box telling me there are updates and I must restart my pc. No matter how many times I restart my pc I get the same message.

At the same time, everytime I log off, I get a similar message saying there are updates etc. do not turn the pc off, it will turn off once the files have been updated. My pc does what it needs to do and turns off.

I haven't a clue what files are to be updated, it has not affect my pc in any way. This irritating problem will not go away!

Does anyone know what is causing this and what i need to do to either update these files or resolve the problem.

Any help would be appreciated. Please keep solutions simple!

Many thanks

Have you actually downloaded and installed the updates?Possibly the message means that you should restart AFTER you have done this? Are they Windows updates or other software?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me, I have no idea what these updates are. It just appeared and won't go away no matter how many times i restart my pc or log off completely.

The only updates I receive reguarly are:

Norton via BT
Zone Alarm as and when
System Mechanic 7
PC Tune-up - which I think is similar or the same as System Mechanic
Plus what ever Windows offer.
