How to make documents typed out on OpenOffice. org Writer print out properly? The lettering's huge!!! There must be something that reduces font size, but will that make any difference to how i see it on the screen first? Sorry - just no good with computers!!

You should be able to see how a document will print out by doing a print preview first (look in the menus). Assuming that your font is the same size throughout, you could always do a select all (ctrl+A) and set your font size to something sensible like 12. This would ensure you have not set your font size to a crazily large size by default.
If you are still having problems, try saving your document in a RTF format (Save As...) and then open it and print it out with the standard Word Pad application that comes with Windows - see if that solves your problem.

Thanks a lot - sounds complicated for someone with no technical know-how, but I'll give it a try!
Hi 'icemaiden' ......in 'org writer' at the top of the screen you have th 'tool bars' (icons and words where you can select different options) on the bo ttom row you should see words which identify the text type you are using (words like 'roman times') next to it is a number which is the size of the text.........next to the type of text and the size is an ''arrow icon' ...select this and you have a choice of text and size. Hope this helps
