deleting favorites

can you delete more than favorite at a time as i have thousands of old favorites that i need rid of and doing it one by one With the ( are you sure you want to delete this ) every time is a pain . Thank you

Navigate to the Favorites folder in Windows Explorer. Click on each one while holding down CTRL. Right click on one of them, and click 'delete' in the drop-down menu.

If more detail needed, please post your operating system.

thank u 4candles i will do this . but now to be a pain in the ar*8 . How do I find out what my op system is . god I'm useless when I was a younger man I used to be able to program computers in BASIC and machine code . but now I just about able to turn them on and off .Things are going to fast for me I've been reduest to a humble user !
Aye, those were the days, with a BBC B - all those REMs & GOTOs, with a 32K RAM ;)

I only queried the OS (Windows 98, 2000, XP etc) in case you needed guidance on finding Windows Explorer. In XP, for example, it's tucked away in 'Accessories' instead of being in the main programs list.

REM .1 . BBC B god that was posh I had a 48K spectrum . I found windows explorer but could not find the favorite file. found my pictures my music etc. that the trouble with these computers to much in them . would you recommend I try search with the search word as Favorites.GOTO 1
OK dusty. Assuming it's XP: Using Windows Explorer, navigate to Local Disk / Documents and Settings / 'your ID' / Favorites.

If all else fails, yes a 'Search' in Explorer will find it.

found favorites folder it only had 1 media file in it. I give up I will delete them 1 by 1 Other wise I will probably delete some thing I shouldn't and totley screw the system thank 4 your time . ( With the spectrum all you had to do to reset it was turn it of and then back on ) O HAPPY DAYS !!!
