hi all i hace a desktop computer upstairs and a laptop wireless computer downstairs i have just ordered another laptop for my husband, we have a dlink router will it be easy enough to connect my new laptop to the router, and do i have to do it grom the main desktop upstairs. I never did the last one we had to get a computer man in and he charged the earth, so i was thinking about doing it myself, when i get the laptop could someone work step by step with me cheers

Connect the to the router by ethernet cable, turn it on and it should connect to the router.

Unplug it, and it should connect.
