When I first got a computer about two years ago I thought it would be clever to tranfer them on to it for safety sake but after I uploaded about 200 pictures and shredded them I didn`t know I had to save them. so what happened?....... I lost the flippin lot. I know I`m asking a lot of you IT genius`s but is there any hope of ever retrieving them. I`m still not very clever but willing to try.

Do you mean you physically shredded paper prints,or "shredded" a computer file?
Where did you upload them to?
Have you looked in "My Pictures" on your computer?

Hi ianmunt, yes I shredded the actual photo`s and also looked in "My Pictures" so I fear to much time has passed to retrieve them.

If you have just sent them to the recycle bin and then deleted them from there you may be able to recover them with a nifty free download from the following website:-

www.officerecovery.com/freeundelete/

Download it and install (checking first it carries no viruses etc by scanning downloaded filed with your anti-virus programme) and then follow instructins. Certainly recovered a host of files that I inadvertently deleted from my pen drive the other day.

If you used a programme such as Window Washer to shred your files in the recycle bin then I fear you won't be able to recover them.

Good luck and hope you find your pictures.
