removed Nortons

I've removed Norton Internet security from my computer and replaced with AVG and Ad-aware SE personal should I put any other software on my computer to make as safe as it was with Nortons or is this enough

Unless you stay with Windows' own Firewall - all you need now is one such as Zone Alarm. I do ok with just AVG and a good service provider :o)
Gosh yes! You need a firewall. The windows one is no good.

Maybe Zonealarm.
Windows firewall is as good as useless. I agree with The Builder in recommending Zone Alarm though.

Hi Rollo - I've often heard that Windows' Firewall is not so good - just out of interest - could you say why?

A Firewall should check traffic going OUT to the internet and coming IN from the internet.

The Windows Firewall (on XP anyway) only checks traffic coming IN and not going OUT.

I think they have improved it on Vista but not sure if it is as good as ZoneAlarm.
