Ipaq PDA no longer recognised???

I have a Ipaq HP1930, When I connect it to my PC via the USB cable It now says USB device not recognised? I am using "Activesync" but it cannot connect with the Ipaq? There are two issues which I wonder maybe relevent?..

1. The USB cable I am using is a new one as the old one got damaged
2. We recently switched to Broadband?

Please can anybody help?
