Hi there I just wondered when I go on holiday if I make dvd back ups of some movies can I take it with me. I use dvd x copy so its says when you play it its a back up. If I carry them with me to play on my laptop when on my Hols is that ok. Or will customs people not allow this. Anyone got any info on this.

That won't be any problem. They are just personal home made dvds as far as anyone is concerned.
if you're caught you could well be fined, depending on the country. Personally, I'd imagine it'd be easier to use dvdshrink and save them to your harddrive and watch them from there.
