I upload my pictures online to order prints, but recently when I attempted to upload, I get this error message : Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, Runtime error. C:\Programme files\ internet explorer\explore.exe. I am out of ideas with this one. I have tried for hours to clear it.

Do you have Google toolbar installed? If you have, remove it and try again. You can then re-install Google. Google toolbar sometimes corrupts even years after installation. Re-installing it fixes it.
Same thing can happen if you have Stopzilla and Norton on the same machine. You would have to remove Stopzilla and not put it back.

I don't have Google, Stopzilla , or Norton. Thanks.
I had this problem after downloading windows update I run on XP all I did was to restore to an earlier date and this cured the problem

I tried to restore to an earlier date, but although I had the calender displayed with bold numbers I couldn't click on them. any ideas on this one.
If you have xp home edition you have to start the computer in safe mode (press F8 when it is starting up) and log on as administrator in order to use system restore.
Runtime errors within any program usually mean that you need to re-install the program to fix the problem. So, if you insist on using Internet Explorer (WHY?), try going to the Microsoft site and downloading the latest version (or look for it on one of the 'free' cover disks that come with computer magazines). Far simpler, switch to a decent browser, such as Firefox:

Runtime error appears when the user tries to open ActiveX dependent web pages.

Close all open programs, if any.
