What sort of hub?

The easiest way is to use a router connected to your broadband modem, and connect all your pcs to the router by ethernet.

Something like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-G-Broadband-R outer-SpeedBooster-802-11g/dp/B0002LHXB6/ref=p d_ka_5/202-5545177-7502243?ie=UTF8&s=electroni cs&qid=1174215274&sr=8-5

This gives the option of connection wirelessly, if your pcs are wifi enabled.
You can use Internet connection sharing (and printer) which has been part of windows since 98...
you don't need a hub either (although seeing as how you nave one ... might as well use it) - a crossover cable is good enough for just two machines

the downside is ... the internet machine needs to be on whenever either machine wants access to the internet.

some modems have a lan/usb connection which may fit your hub ?

a "router" (the combined home device with integrated modem etc) gives more flexibility - but costs more.
