my current memory is 3.33 gigahertz in a 512 mb piece,query is.
1. does a new one for dimm1have to be the same,i thought using crucial it would identify the one to use but my pack/bell 1369 was not to be found.

your struggle to find 3.33ghz memory, that is your processor
i think you have an istart 1369 celeron
if thats the case you probably need DDR2-533MHz use a program like cpu-z to make sure you have a spare slot and it will tell you exactly what the memory installed is you can then try to buy the same. However you can use different brands, with respect its unlikely that packard bell would have supplied particulary expensive ram. be warned ram can be a funny thing
