MSN Messenger Pop Up

My son has for some reason put MSN Messenger on my PC and every time I open up, a window comes up asking me if I want to sign on which I don't. How can I get rid of this box into my Unused Desktop file so he can use it when he comes home? I can't open anything up until I click on the X to get rid of the pop up.

If you open the options menu in Messenger there is an option to 'Run Messenger when windows starts'. You can disable this feature so that it will only run when you double click the icon.
