I have just read your advice on detecting a USB 2, Could you tell me how I can pick out of the four I have, which one is the USB 2 port on the computer. Thanks in advance.

If your computer says it has USB2 then you will find all are USB2. The makers dont mix and match USB sockets.

It's useful to know where to find your 'hardware list' in any case.

My computer - view system information - system properties - hardware - device manager

From there you will find all the information you need about your drives, keyboards, everything you could possibly want to know.
