J2ME Midlet file writer

I am building a midlet/servlet using Java J2ME and have encountered a problem.How can i write from a midlet to a servlet to update a text file? I can read in from a text file through a servlet, but can't find a way to write to the servlet to then update the text file.
Any ideas?
