1 Megabyte is a million (1,000,000) bytes (roughly)

1 gigabyte is a 1000 megabytes (1,000,000,000) (roughly)

So 2 gigabytes is 2,000,000,000 bytes (roughly)

I say roughly because different people uses different measurements. See here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte
As VHG states, different people use different definitions.

'Officially' 1 gigabyte = 2^30 bytes. (That's '2 to the power of 30').

So, 2 Gb = 2^31 bytes = 2147483648 bytes.

Wonderful, thank you
gigabyte is as vehelpfulguy states

the value that your computer actually uses (because it uses the binary number system, not decimal like most humans), is called the gibibyte.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibibyte

this is at least the official definition. as buenchico suggests though, most IT people will use gigabyte to be 2^30 bytes.
