can i link up my pc monitor to a laptop?

wanting a laptop and wondered if i could link up my pc flat screen monitor to a laptop. can you also link up a mouse?only thing that puts me off a laptop is that scroll thing so would prefer to do this.

Yup, you certainly can link up a mouse. Even another keyboard too, a full size one, if you like.

Pretty much all laptops (maybe except the ultra portable?), come with an external monitor port, for either a monitor or a projector.
Yes, you can fit your monitor to your laptop and view the screen on this. You can also hook up a USB mouse and use that instead of the mouse pad on the laptop.

Further to this you can buy Port Replicators or Expansion Bases for most laptops.

These mean you don't have to plug you monitor and keyboards and mice into your laptop each time you return home. You just connect your laptop to the port replicator.
