I have installed cookiewall and winpatrol ( ok too much time on my hands..)to stop/get rid of ads and popups etc. The trouble is they both want to know which cookies I want.Do I WANT any of them or are some really vital ( thinking about on line banking etc)

Getting rid of all of them will generally just mean that you will have to reinput your username and password on those sites you have registered at and want to go back to. I would say delete them all except for those sites that you do actually use frequently (like your banking). I recently cleared out all mine and have yet to notice any adverse effects apart from having to log in again to a lot of sites. Mind you, I don't use internet banking ATM.
Delete them all. Accept cookies from your bank, and maybe for anything else you use regularly and want to keep your settings for (like answerbank, perhaps). Though personally I delete all my cookies after every session anyway and find things much more to my liking NOT having sites log me in automatically, etc.
