I am thinking of getting a gps for my car. There are loads out there and everyone talks about Tom Toms, but there seem to be smaller screens. Any ideas? Up to about 500. Cheers

The TomTom satnav systems are pretty good - I've had three (the original TomTom software running on my Pocket PC, an original Go and now a 910).

The 910 is great if you want the extras it gives you - I travel in the US and Europe so having maps of everywhere is really useful.

The 710 is a better bet if you don't need the EU/US maps.

I would look at this website for loads more information:

Cheers,

I brought a TomTom 100 recently - about 250 or so from Argos (although I later heard Woolworth's was doing them for about 150 apparently) - and wouldn't be without it. Only just passed my driving test and the thought of a 100 mile journey was terrifying me, but it was a breeze with it.

The screen is big enough to glance at when you're driving, although the vocals are clear and accurate enough that you don't need to.
