two months trying to go wireless

I have a new Compaq wireless notepad and my husband bought me a Belkin modem with Wireless G Router which are great ,but my ISP is aol with whom I have to stay with till march. Can anyone tell me if i can go wireless . Aol have told me i have to up grade but i can`t and don`t want to spent anymore money. If not can anyone tell me the best ISP to go with so i can go wileless
