CD burning software (like easy cd creator or nero) will allow you to burn a music cd and will automatically do the file conversion (.mp3 to .cda)

the thing is i burn onto an audio cd and when i put it into a cd player it just don't work x x

Not all cd players will play a burnt music cd. Have you tested it on more than one cd player?
it also depends on the type of CD you use.
CD-RW won't work, for example

Are you using the correct kind of cd, jordan?

Forgive me if you are but my first attempt at trying to play my first cd on my music centre failed miserably because I was using CD-RW's instead of CD-R's.

Are you sure that you're creating an audio CD? It ma be that you are putting mp3s onto the disc, which will only work on certain machines (ie not many!).
