Can you not copy and paste it to a Word document then alter the font size?
Alternatively, set your printer to use landscape format and print to the width of the paper.

Hi jackd. in the format that it's in there is no provision for copy/paste.
BC I tried your suggestion but all the printing ended up cramped in a smaller space. Thanks to you both.

You can usually copy text from a PDF document by dragging your cursor over it to higlight it and then clicking Ctrl-C.

Hi BC I managed to do it with your suggestion but with a slightly roundabout route. What I am printing out is a ticket for a ferry and part of it has a barcode, but the printout will not do the barcode. Is this normal,I'm wondering weather it will be acceptable at the ferry checkout? Thanks.
Are you sure that the PDF document has opened in Foxit reader and not in a browser window? Many browsers - e.g. Firefox - now load most PDF files into a browser window, rather than calling upon a computer's default PDF reader (such as Foxit Reader). People then make the mistake of pressing Ctrl and P together (or going to File > Print), which results in very small text. What they need to do instead is to look for a 'Print' option (often shown as a printer icon) within the actual page displayed by the browser.

If that's NOT the case, start by saving the PDF file to your hard drive (rather than trying to open it from a web page or email). If your access to the PDF is via a link on a web page, RIGHT-click on it and select 'Save link as' (or whatever similar option is offered by your browser), saving the PDF to 'My Documents (for example). If your access to the PDF is via an email attachment, DON'T open it directly but instead save it to 'My Documents' (or wherever).

Once you've got the PDF document stored on your hard drive, open it with Foxit Reader. Then try printing from there. If it doesn't come out properly on the first try, go to Ctrl+P (or File > Print) again but, before actually printing, go into your printer's properies to check that 'Full Size' (or, perhaps, 'Fit to Page') is selected.

If that still doesn't work (and, assuming that you've already got the PDF stored on your hard drive), try using a different PDF reader:
https://www.sumatrapdfreader.org/free-pdf-reader.html
(That's what I use).

If that STILL doesn't work, email the PDF to a friend and get them to print it for you. (Alternatively, save it to a USB memory stick and print the ticket out at work, at an internet cafe or at your local library).

Thanks BC that's a lot to digest,I think that I'll leave it for later.
All the ferry people will want is the bar code rather than the words. Why not just print it out in the size it arrived.
