Hey.

Yesterday my PC decided to go up in smoke. I need a new machine ASAP and I'm a little rusty with the new tech out there. Has anyone got any websites (Ebuyer, eBay) or franchised stores (PC world, Ebuyer etc) for good quality Desktop computers that are also good in price? The reason I say franchised is because I need to replace my machine today ideally. Ebuyer is located in my city (no doubt they have more warehouses now....).

My requirements:

Good graphics card (capable of running games such as Outlast at 60fps).
8GB Ram minimum.
RAID (no doubt all MB's are capable of RAID now)
HDD space isn't a huge issue as I already have 12TB

Thanks in advance,

Dizmo.

I'm looking at this:

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/desktop-pc-monitors/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/hp-pavilion-500-152ea-desktop-pc-21732511-pdt.html

And it makes me feel sick that PC World can get away with robbing nearly 500GBP out of people for what looks like a mediocre machine.
Tending, as I do, to build my own I can't give you any good sites other than the obvious suggestions everyone has. May pay you to Froogle for a good one.

I do think wanting advice before the shops close today makes things a bit tight. But if you are thinking websites like eBay presumably today isn't a hard time limit.

Maybe I'm out of touch but you'd be looking at £500 minimum anyway wouldn't you (no I've not checked the spec yet).
That's a good price, cheaper than Amazon

Cheers OG: I agree it's a little late to be getting advice for a PC I wish to purchase before the shops close. I have spoken to someone at PC World and to be honest I do feel like I've been insulted by him.

I'd rather wait and buy something like this:

Try Mesh computers. Mine is about 4 years old and still going well, no problems at all. http://www.meshcomputers.com

Thanks for the link Grumpygrandad however I don't feel that they beat Ebuyer in price comparison. My old computer was purchased from Dell.co.uk and I have always stood by Dell until a few days ago when I realised they are no longer in the running (not in my eyes anyway).

To get a PC from Mesh Computers that will do what I need it to will cost me around £746.00 inc VAT.

Thanks for the input though :)
