Hi. I have been trying to fill my granddaughter's IPod and am struggling!1 It is the little one a "Nano" I believe . I was asked if I wanted to sync it with my comp so of course I said yes but that's when the problem started because i can't get any tunes onto it. I do an Auto-fill and it says it cant cause it's not synced with my Itunes do i want to delete and Sync so I said yes but it farts about for 20 mins or so and doesn't do it. If I look at whats on this Ipod it says 20% other . I am going round in circles! Can anyone suggest what to do, please Chris

The iPod has to be registered to the iTunes account you are using for it to synch...if your granddaughter has already registered to another one it will only synch on that one..

I am still getting nowhere , sorry it's me. It is no a "Nano" but a "Shuffle", one of those diddy little ones.I don't think that makes any difference to the instructions on help though so will have a brew and start again. It's agony when your old and can't do technical stuff!

Have just tried to do an "Auto-fill" to see if that would work and a dialogue box comes up saying "Cannot auto-fill music as all this I pods space has been reserved for Data" !!or words to this effect.
Sounds as if someone has enable 'disk mode' and then filled it up with non music files. Disk mode is under the summary tab, I imagine if you disable it you should then be able to load some music, you could always copy the contents to your computer beforehand just to be on the safe side, it should appear as a removable drive in Windows

open my computer.. go to control panel the shuffle ..if plugged in..will show as a removable device..click on..then open..delete whats there... then start above
or as fitz says ..copy/move content to another file then delete..

Sorry folks and thanks for your help but I can't do it. I can't find the summary tab and there is no "removable disc" on control panel so I think I will have to give up the ghost! Thanks once again Chris
