Avast Blocking My External Hard Drive

My Avast demanded to be updated yesterday, so I did. Now when I plug my external hard drive in (a little Maxell portable) nothing comes up and I can't back things up. I assume these two events are connected as there was no trouble till today.

Is there any way to tell Avast to permit it? Or of restoring the earlier Avast? (Though I assume the latter would be risky.)

(Please don't advise installing MSE instead as I had the same trouble with it in the past; that's why I installed Avast in the first place.)

I think it always does that when you get to post 20 woofy.
Lol Neti...That's the first time I've made a cake for yonks .Just goes to show that the old cooker was on it's last legs .I had to keep turning stuff around to get it to cook evenly.
You've been a busy bee woofy . The last time I made jam was at school!
I remember it well.The huge kettle of goosegog jam.We kept spooning it out and eating it when it was cooling and then topping it up with water.
When we went to put it in the jars our teacher Miss Witchell, a lovely teacher,who was scottish, said..

Hello. Trying to get hija sorted- What a thankless task, she came home at 1am after partying for 48 hrs. She did get up put petrol in my car, but went back in bed. I am struggling to cook a lowly roast chicken with Yorkshire puds, brocolli cheese, roast pots and onions and sausages, not enough room in either oven. So jealous of shaney's new one! Also our ovens are not regulated, they are either on or off, and if needed cooler we prop door open a inch. I could have bought one if not paying get for hija's flight! :0 (

Snap i have a most painful neck, starta from shoulder and up to middle of head. Had it daily since June. I now take a paracetamol at night to sleep. I expect it arthritis. We are still getting bitten to bits daily and nightly, the whole island except Mr N , even hija got bitten. My legs are an absolute mess. Ive sparayed and steamed and replace all bedding as I have a horror of fleas and yes I know its not!!
Been busy trying to get hija reasy for Dubai. Can you believe it, ryanair from ibiza to barcelona is more than Barcelona to Dubai.we've managed to find a cheaper one but she has to go 2 days before so thats cost us a hotel!! Ivenpid for it all and paid of some debts!! Mr N doesnt know, he's banking some for her! Shes a mess and this island is no good for her. I can finally relax when she is over there, asbtheres not much I can do there. Also the laws prevent her from going wild too often!

the neck's just some sort of tweaked muscle, I'm going to see an osteo on Monday if it hasn't gone away, which it shows no sign of doing. Probably just a slightly out of place vertebra in my neck.

Ah neti, we should all pack our kids off to the desert. Robi's got one living on the Nullarbor and eating witchetty grubs, hasn't she?

Yes jno at least I am sending mine off to a desert!! Robi's is rather well behaved and doing her proud I dont doubt. I am so tired this afternoon shes gone out in my car again ( she came home at 7.30am) she has to return her uniform. Roll on tuesday when she's arrived in dubai. Shes flying Turkish airline, no horror stories please, she wouldnt let me pay 522€ for direct to Emirates as I guess she needed the change!! At leadt on this flight she gets a meal, kebab I expect and apparently a meze!! She likes food. And its quicker than the one she normally flies with Pegasus. Just finished lines and lines of hwr washing. Is it really awful and unnatural of me to be glad when shes gone??

Am a bundle of nerves atm. Hija was out again all night then she had lunch out and has rushed home to pack and cant check in online which could mean something (overbooked) or nothing. So instead of eating out we are going to airport to hopefully check in and eat something disgusting there. I hate disorganisation!!

Picky came over yesterday to put a new lock and plate on a door for us .You would think he was rebuilding the house the amount of mess he made:)He's got more screws and nails than a hardware shop.
Then I cooked him a fry up and by the time he went the place looked as if a bomb had hit it. I'm very grateful that he does these odd jobs for us so mustn't grumble.
Miserable dull day here and chilly with it.Bit of rain too.

that was a quiet weekend. Pulled out the odd weed. Hunted for holidays on the internet but didn't find one. Someone let off fireworks yesterday, which is a bit early - maybe it was an expat from the south coast, where they've already started their bonfire season.

Jno it never seems to stop around here...although its been better since one of the local all year round and deliver by mail order places burned down and cannot get a licence to rebuild because its in a residential area...I mean who let them have a licence in the first place?
We had to be up and dressed (well the human did) early this morning because my car is being collected to be serviced. Of course because we were up and ready early they haven't turned up yet. I think all this early morning business is greatly overrated.
