For some reason when I switch on my computer Spotify automatically starts
up.
Much as I like Spotify it is annoying. How do I stop it happening?

I am on Windows 7.

Any advice, in not too technical language, would be greatly appreciated.

I also have this problem and hope someone can assist with the solution.
Click on the edit menu, select preferences, scroll to the bottom of the settings page and the options for opening spotify automatically when you log on are there.

Thanks Chuck.
Find and run a programme called MSCONFIG (usually start and run, or start and search).
When you open up MSCONFIG, click on the "startup" tab along the top. Uncheck the box next to Spotify. You'll more than likely have to edit some settings in Spotify as well, or else when you run Spotify, you'll prob have to do the same all over again.
