Far to little information to be able to help you.

I assume by LAN you mean Local Area Network.

But what computers have you got, what are you trying to do with them, and where exactly are you looking at these LAN settings.

Compaq Presario AMD Athlon 64 processor 3200+ System XP home Version 2002 Service pack 2....How's that? Clicked "start" clicked "internet explorer" and up came "Page cannot be displayed try the following" On connection tab go to settings.Settings should match those provided by LAN. or your ISP. There are no LAN settings. (don't know how to find the ISP settings). john
Assuming that you are on broadband via a router, the connections tab should have a dot by "Never dial a connection". Near the bottom right, is a button "LAN Settings". If you click it you should see a check in the box "automatically detect settings". That's all there is to see, really.
