New Laptop - Moving Data And Favourites

I have bought my partner a new laptop. I'll need to move everything she has on the old one to the new one. Does anyone know a website which has info that is easy to follow? I know how to save things like folders from her hard drive to say a pen drive or other external hard drive, but is it possible to somehow "save" or "move" all the websites that she has saved in her "Favourites" on Internet Explorer?
I'm going to do a Google Search but I know there are some great guys on Answerbank who are likely to know or can advise.
The other thing I'm not sure about is having access to Microsoft Office. I bought Home Office edition that could be put on to up to three PCs, which I did, when we bought the existing laptop. Can it be "transferred"to the new laptop?
Thanks in advance

Moving 'favorites' (which is the horrid US spelling used by Internet Explorer)

You should be able to install Microsoft Office by using your existing disk. Otherwise simply install OpenOffice instead:

Many thanks to VHG and Buenchico. I hadn't realised there was such a thing called Windows Easy Transfer. It looks like the simplest way is to buy a special cable and transfer straight from one to the other. I'm not sure how much capacity I would need on an external hard drive, so doing it direct might be the safest bet. Regarding Microsoft Office, I have a feeling the version I got could be put onto 3 PCs, a bit like Norton. I used up all three "goes". If need be I'll use OpenOffice. Many thanks
