Anyone know of a good free alternative to winrar?..id like to b able to compress and decompress files,but i dont want to pay for it.

What exactly are you trying to say Old_Geezer?
WinRar IS free, you just get the nag screen, the same as with WinZip.
There is also 7Zip but I haven't tried that one.

I use this and it is a free small and very easy to use program, it works on ZIP and RAR files.
It does happen Anlyn, especially with some people who post from mobile phones/iPhones.
