There is one called Kaz I got it from the QVC shopping channel, it's really good.

No idea why this has stuck in my mind, but when I was younger it was Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing doing the rounds. It was really good apparently. Pretty sure it's still about. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0001X9IFO/026- 2657760-7729215

There was a brilliant one available a while back - it was dead gory and  my nephew loved it. If you typed a row of letters correctly eyeballs shot out of corpses etc. Unfortunately he swapped it with a mate so I don't know the name of the game, but he got it in the GAME shop in town.

The best one for  an 11 year old is "Typing Tutor For Dummies". He /she will soon have their fingers flying across the keyboard.
