I just downloaded movie maker but when I click on it there is a blank icon and it does not start, how can I open it?

Where about are you clicking on it?
when you downloaded it, did you then install it?

try this; click on start, then all programs. Is Movie Maker anywhere on that list? if not, you have not installed it.
