I have a new Packard Bell Easy Note laptop and the sound is much fainter than my old Toshiba. I have been into everything I can find and apparently the volume is at its maximum. Is there any way I can boost it, my old laptop had a slider in the front casing that could increase or decrease sound with but I cannot find anything on this one to do the same thing. janet

most laptops have function keys to adjust the volume.
Usually hold down the Fn key and press the up and down volume keys (probably marked in blue with a symbol similar to that found on most remote controls)
