I have a problem with a tag that I can't get rid of on my laptop screen

Earlier I was going through some photos on the photo gallery and the 'strip' that appears when you point to the photo (view, edit organise and share photos and videos) won't go away now. Any ideas on how to get rid I can't see what I'm doing at certain points.
