I'm being very stupid - but then, you all knew that anyway in this section.
I've been sent a link in an email on which I need to click (it's quite safe). But I can't do it - it isn't highlighted. The alternative is to 'copy it into your browser' - but how? What am I not doing? 'Copy' will only transfer it into another section of the email program.
Got halfway there, ubasses: first twice I tried (before posting question) 'copy' was greyed out. Third time, following your advice. it was OK. But now I can't find a 'paste' button. Sorry..... I did say I was stupid.
Thank you, Buenchico, it's that wretched right-click again. All sorted. I love your additional comment, but fortunately it wasn't necessary! Thanks to all three for your help.
Glad you got it sorted. Copying and pasting is very handy. You can also do it by holding down the CTRL button on the bottom left of the key board, press C at the same time, select (click on) on the place you want to paste. CTRL plus the V button at the same time. If you can manage it it is less of a faff than right clicking all the time. Enjoy.
Thanks again Anngel. I'm actually (you wouldn't believe it) quite competent with the computer with most basic functions when I've been shown what to do ,including copy/paste sections of text in Word, but for some reason I've never - in ten years or more - needed to copy a link from an email. I shall know what to do next time.
