Over the past few days when I switch on my pc I keep getting the Windows Boot Manager screen come on before Windows starts. It asks what O/S I want to start in and highlights Windows 7. If I choose that it all starts up ok. CD/DVD drives are empty and 'boot' sequence in bios is correct.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. The only thing I've changed recently is to update my Graphics Card drivers.

Any ideas on how to remove the Windows Boot Manager screen?

I might be a bit slow in responding because I'll be in and out all day.
Thankyou.

Thanks for that, will take a look.
If you're feeling really brave, you could type "msconfig" into the search space and look at the boot setup and startup sections to see if there's anything odd.

Thanks for that, I'm quite used to using 'msconfig'. Have already tried that and nothing unusual in there.

As you say quite a powerful and useful tool.
You should be able to right click on the word computer on the start menu, select properties, then click on advanced system properties on the left pane, then click on the settings button under the startup and recovery section and just take the tick out of time to show list of operating system.
There's a good computer tuning program called Glary Utilities - I think it's free on Cnet - might be worth trying.

Is it bothering you enough to try repairing the program with the original disk?
Question Author
Tried both Deggers and Chuckfickens tips, neither worked.

As venator suggests will dive in and use the original install disc to do a repair.

Does it bother me? Yes, a bit ;)
Why it decided to start doing this is annoying as well.

Was going to attempt a repair using the install disc and an article on MS knowledge base this weekend.

Picked up some Windows updates yesterday and after installing and re-booting problems disappeared.
