So there you go Anne lol
I'm not into tennis but why can't he play as a Scottish player instead of British?
Dris, I have been saying the same,he's bound to end up with a groin strain at the very least.
Andy Murray is a fine tennis player. To be successful (especially in an individual sport) you have to have a self-belief which borders on arrogance and although he is wobbling alarmingly this morning, he will, ultimately, prove to be more successful than Timbo.

He is a Scot and rightfully proud of that. I'm English, not British; he's Scottish, not British. His tongue-in-cheek comments were pounced on by the English press and blown out of all proportion.

I wish him well today......but think it's now beyond him.
Jack...why can't he play as a Scottish player?
Totally out classed-he was peeing against the wind from the off.bloomwood -can you imagine all that effort knowing youre going to get beat -demoralising.Best player is about to win.

ummm -we dont get it either then some take umbrage if we try a bit of banter -used to it by now...
bad day.......first we lose one day series (though that dont compare with us winning the ASHES) Now a big letdown in the tennis as usual. We used to get the annual Henman letdown at Wimbledon and now the baton is with Murray. Both a pair of losers and thats why our country love em.
He can't play as a Scot in the same way that an Australian can't play as a Victorian or a Queenslander, they play under their nationality
agree Dris,Andy has been out played,am sure his day will come though. All over now.
I'm not certain about Tennis.............but usually it's to do with the governing body of a particular sport and the countries, etc. that they are prepared to recognise.

In athletics, the IOC only recognises GBR which is why the olympic team comprises competitors from all the home nations in one team; but when the Commonwealth games and European competitions are held, there is a different over-seeing body and the home nations can compete individually..........
So then, the secret weapon is a bit insulating tape!
he will never win anything major for one simple reason......he aint good enough.
So Tim Henman plays as British as well?
If someone has a nice personality I would wish them well, he doesnt, and he never has had. His family used to be very pleasant, but couldnt bear to watch him as a junior as he used to throw tantrums and he intimated all the juniors making it no fun for them. No end of complaints went in about him.
Can you put up a photo of your trophy cabinet, mickrog ?
I think he did, ummmm, yes.
i dont pretend to be a great tennis player jack.....unlike a certain mr murray
how amusing Timid Tim is now telling us all where atless andy went wrong lol
Yawn -here we go............
He doesn't 'pretend' to be anything.
He plays tennis and the results speak for themselves..........he didn't play well today, in fact, I think he choked it a bit.........and Djokovic ran away with it.

He's a better player than you or I could ever hope to be.

And I really don't see why people are on his case so much.
