Correct me if I'm wrong here but as far as I made out from the Stockholm bombing, the guy tried to set off a car bomb, but it was not as effective as he'd hoped and then he killed himself and only himself with a suicide bomb.

Maybe I'm a little wrong with the facts but my point is that if God wanted these radicals to blow up and kill people then surely these bombs should be killing dozens of people at a time and not just one or two.

Why is it that when these radical Muslims fail so miserably in their attempts at mass murder do they not stand back and think, "Hey, maybe the big guy doesn't want me to be doing this kind of thing"?

Is it the same sort of blind retarded faith and empty minds which leads them on their quest initially that is simply to blame?

yes but religious people don't think like that. They have been brainwashed in whatever brand of fairy tales it is to believe that their particular set of bullsh1t is the correct one. So they are too stupid to even realise the folly in that let alone that, Allah/god/nondescript deity is in some way annnoyed with them. Even if they did think that they'd probably determine that it is god's will and flagulate themselves with rusty bean tin.
If there was any kind of rational thinking behind these things they'd soon realise that god, being omnipotent, is well capable of standing up for himself. He really doesn't need little people running around smiting and blowing up infidels on his behalf.

Also, all the non-believers have got eternal damnation coming to them anyway - surely that's punishment enough - do they really need to have there legs blown off in the meantime?

But of course, there is no rational thinking behind these things.
I was going to say something similar to Ludwig .... although God incites people to murder in the other book too. It's what he does best.
Is God telling Muslims something? ... Hardly.

All of the following come directly from the New International Version of the Bible. It's the word of God, you know...

Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. You can will them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.

This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.

Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.

If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people. Stone him to death, because he tried to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and no one among you will do such an evil thing again.

But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.
What mark said...
The "kill them in front of me" one was actually spoken by Jesus, if the Gospel writer is to be believed.

He's not the Messiah...
^..........if only there was a punchline to follow that comment............

So when suicide bombers are successful is God telling Christians something?
Mark, did you not read what I said?

//......... although God incites people to murder in the other book too.//

Mark3, the Old Testament (the bit of the bible the Jews adhere to) is the bit that contains most of the violence. They're all at it!
Oops, Mark3's a'gonna!
> Mark, did you not read what I said?

I did. I was merely confirming it with quotes...
To answer your question in few words I can say that No, God is not telling these guys anything as he has told everything 1400 years ago. All these people have to do is, read that properly and more importantly, act upon that.

Misconception in West is that these people are trying to kill Nonbelievers. And that is completely wrong for two reasons. First of all its not in the hands of Muslims (or any human) that someone believe or does not believe and Quran is very clear about that.

10:99. If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe!

10:100. No soul can believe, except by the will of Allah, and He will place doubt (or obscurity) on those who will not understand.

Then if that had been the reason then why would there be terrorist attacks in Muslim countries (mainly where people believe that rulers are puppets in the hands of West and are more keen on protecting America & Co interest)? The simplest reason is that Muslims feel bad the way there have been double standards in the world when it come to issues Muslims are facing (Palestine, Kashmir etc) including UNO. Now majority (like myself) do feel bad about all that but would not go and kill anyone. Where few stupid would go and kill themselves and other innocent people and that is not
Ah, right. :o)
Ultimately this is the problem that modern day followers of ancient books have - the books are patently full of anachronistic nonsense and contradiction.
It just isn't easy to explain that either to yourself or anyone else.
