when humans compete, they get split into races for specific genders, and then sometimes further into weights, does this happen with all animal races?

And do they have female horses at ladies day aswell as the female spectators?

And horses can race separately for example the classic 'The oaks' run at Epsom is only for fillies (females)
I find myself often chasing fillies across (garden) fences.

Molly it's not about 'point' it's just tradition. I think the Derby used to be just for males too but that doesn't seem to be the case now. Before you were born (if you are 16)women jockeys weren't allowed in major races either.
