the only high jump worth doing is for getting into the mile high club

you're javelin a larf

try putting a shot and you'll find that the club bends
If it wasn't flat, the event would be a Fosbury flop.
that bloke with a pole, he's for the high jump, a very high jump
..and that one tooks happy, a hop, a skip and a jump...
Do people with unrequited love go to the Olympics just to get on the tv ? They always show someone carrying a torch during the opening ceremony.
Well, I think that event could have some mileage.

I'm sure it will run and run.
^Groan bibble, that's a good 'un!
I think we're in for a marathon on this one....
i don't see the point in the high jump if you have help from a pole, it should be like we do at school, through your own power and skill.
I'm sure some Olympians take part for the love of sport.

But other do it for publicity ... they like to see their names in sprint.
also with the traditional high jump, at my school, its not always the tallest person that wins.

Anyway do they do high jump without a pole to help aswell?
i tried pole vaulting once but he was only here to do the plumbing so wasn't happy
LOL
Yes they do Mollykins, but they use the Fosbury Flop method these days (throwing themselves over backwards) unlike the Scissors movement we used when I was at school. 5'3" was my highest scissors jump in those days!
If the PLEBS get in, I vote Sitting as a new event for 2012, I could qualify.
