OK which of you anti English yoghurt knitters will be the first to explain why it isn't a "proper" win? You can usually find a reason to devalue or denigrate an England win, in any sport! So do your worst!

Well done Vibrasphere ! You are on top at present whilst I'm on the way down !! LOL
3 Tests to go for the Wooden Spoon so we'll have to knock you off the Top !!!!!!!!!!
Ricky Ponting's being out "caught" springs to mind...
Agree with you TCL-MUMPING as there will always be controversial decisions made. There will be dubious decisions made in the next Test as well. It happens in all Sport unfortunately but it adds to the debate.
R1Geezer wants us to moan, but I for one are quite happy with the result !!
I think I'm right in saying that the third umpire can rule on matters of fact, ie not on LBW's for example and can rule on boundaries and catches. Why then could he not say Ponting did not hit the ball?
Question Author
Ponting hit the ball and it was caught, look in the paper tomorrow, Anyway TCL you get the BGB for this question.!
Don't get too excited....good win....YES.

Bottom line:

Both teams are equally matched.
Our bowlers are better than their bowlers.
Their batsmen are better than our batsmen.

3 more tests to go.
Don't forget Squad, they have Brett Lee to come back into their Bowling attack! Start of next Test 30th july so roll on.
I'm on about the First Innings, yes he hit the ball but it was his foot and not the bat. Look in the PREVIOUS days' papers...
redman...good point

TCL....I agree, but a couple of LBW decisions went their way.
The difference between an LBW and a catch is one is an opinion and the other is a fact (albeit sometimes based upon the honesty of the batsman or fielder.) Even Hawkeye is based on a program using assumptions. If a replay clearly shows a ball has not struck the bat, why not use the technology?
roll on the footie season, crickets naff.
