whilst the aims of the Peace Pledge Union are laudable, they are not a registered charity and do not support any charitable group, nor do they support ex-service personnel.

war or fighting will be a nescescity until all the world leaders are sane,
but as yet, so many of them are like knobshaw, and allways trying to stirr some one up, so war will not dissapear in our lifetime, I'm affraid.

sorry about the typo

White poppies are supposed to represent No More War. What people should remember is however laudible this may be, this weekend is to remember those who sacrifced their lives in past wars not to demonstrate against future wars. Let someone take up that cause and choose the middle of a different month than November to put their case forward when they can wear their white poppies. The nearest Sunday to 11 November is for Remembrance Sunday and to wear RED poppies. Of course we all want No More Wars but millions died in other wars that are being remembered.

No dusty I wouldnt -it actually undermines the significence of the red poppy.

I do wish those 'Peace' campaigners would just sometimes keep their noses out and allow us to commerate and remember the the war dead and maimed -symbolically by the poppy from the fields of Flanders.
Here we go again - whenever armistice day and poppy day comes about we trot out WWII

Despite the fact that it's over 60 years ago, despite the fact that there have been dozens of wars since then - it's always trotted out because it was one of the very few wars that actually was to defend this country.

God alone knows what they'll do when they're all dead.

Nobody wants to remember the fallen of Suez.

The idea that a white poppy should say gas Jews is laughable.

Presumably we should have waded in to defend those killed by Stalin - He killed more of his own people than Hitler killed Jews.

Shall I list all the other genocides we've ignored?

We're the world police now are we?

While there are some survivors of WWII I'll give a bit of money - but Satan will be skating to work before I wear a "Haig Poppy"
I would wear a white one, the red poppy only symbolises the blood lust of the UK and the killing of people from other nations.
And no dris - I won't keep my nose out.

Because if I and people like me did you'd go around pretending we didn't exist and spout all that "nation coming together" clap trap

I think someone mentioned fighting for freedom of speech?
