Bbc Quiz : Week 44

After a week that I'd be prepared to swear hasn't had more than just two or three days in it, it's Friday again!

A fairly good start for me this week, with FIVE out of seven in the main quiz:

The kids' quiz is fairly easy this week (as it's obviously meant to be, even though many of us seem to keep making a mess of it!). The football question let me down though, so that left me with a score of FOUR out of five:

I'm blaming the cat on my knee for me accidentally clicking on the incorrect answer in the Royal question of the Timed Teaser, even though I knew the right answer to it. I could have done with that point too as, without it, I was just left with a lowly score of THREE out of ten:

How will YOU do this week, I wonder?

Snap five and four as well.
6, 4 & 4 for me this week - I should have done better on the fast quiz :-(
Five on the timed.
5/7,5/5,3/10. Not blaming the cats ( although they are a little distracting tonight), just didn’t know the answers!
A better week, this week. 5, 5 and 9!
The weeks are definitely flying by, Chris!
Better scores for me this week especially on that pesky timed teaser!

Enjoy your weekend :-)
Evening Chris.

Just as I was starting to think that we were made for each other, Cashier, you go and spoil it ;-)
[Well done on beating me!]

A near-perfect grown-up and a near-perfect kid too, Toorak! Well done!
[That timed quiz is a swine, isn't it?]
;-)

Well done on beating me by a single point, Campbellking. I hope that you and your new feline friends are all well.

Ruddy 'eck, Milo2! Impressive scores indeed, especially that fantastic 9! Well done!

Just about everyone is beating me this week! Well done, Karamia! A perfect kid and a good sprinter too!

Hi, Sam. I'm well thanks (although I did seem to have a bit of a delayed reaction to my flu jab last Saturday. I slept for over 17 hours the other day\\\1). I hope that you're in good health. Well done on beating my aggregate score by a single point!
This week seems a bit better for me:-
3/7
5/5
4/10

The same scores as me, albeit in a different order, Kwillmott!

Welcome to the club!
Well, good in bits - curate's egg!
5/7 good
3/5 mmmm....
6/10 ditto, annoyed with myself for not acting on instinct on one.

Not bad, I can go and do some work now! :)

Well done, Jourdain2. That solid means that you've beaten me easily this week!

Wow, Patsy! Well done!
5,5, and 6.
Fair going for me.

Well done, Sandy! Very good scores this week!
6/7, 3/5 and a lousy 3/10 for me this week.
Question Author
Well done with that 6, Tony, and welcome to the 'Aggregate-12' club!

Having not touched any alcoho for over three weeks, I told myself that I'd abstain until I saw your post this evening. So it's even more welcome than usual ;-)

[Now let me find out what I've got in that meter cupboard]
;-)
Ah but it's only cupboard love, Chris ;-)
Question Author
LOL @ Tony!

Actually, I decided against the plentiful wheat beer in the meter cupboard (and the cases of Italian lager in my living room, ready for Christmas) and found a bottle of this in my bedroom. (There's never very far to go in my house to find booze!):

After needing a very sharp knife, a pair of pliers, lots of brute force and plenty of patience to get into the damned bottle, it had better be worth all the effort!
