The hundred what?
possibly because it isn't on yet? I will be. It's been really good. I like the way they play with a smile; the men don't. I could watch Smitri Mandhana bat for hours.

TBH jno I enjoy cricket & don't much care which sex is playing - but I just don't "get" the hundred format & don't really understand the on-screen scoring displayed. Can't figure out who is winning or doing well/badly.
Question Author
If it's not 5 days (with some rain) it just aint cricket!
the displays are terrible. They often fail to update them so you get the wrong batter and bowler. That's just laziness.

There's very little 5-day cricket ...; the last two attempts have last ed three days (and the first one would have been two if not for rain)
We're watching. We always record and chase it so we can stop for meals etc (as at the moment). They actually score runs, hit fours and sixes and you see wickets fall - hardly seen in test matches.
Question Author
I know - Boycott & Edrich stuck out there for hours. You could go out for a walk & nothing had changed when you got back. Wonderful!

5 full days play & still come out with a draw - magic.
For the first team batting, the runs scored and balls bowled go up.

For the second team batting, it shows the remaining runs required to win and remaining balls to bowl.

The run rate required might look high but it helps if the performances of both teams at the same stage are compared.
I haven't seen the women playing but did catch the very end of a men's game the other night, Manchester and somebody where it came down to the second last ball.
Quite entertaining for a Scot. :-p
poor performance so far - for a team to lose five wickets for 11 runs in two consecutive finals is pretty remarkable but not in a good way.
I must say I like the reviews for run-out/stumping/LBW etc.
they're much quicker, aren't they, bhg.

That ended as I expected after the first innings - that hopeless collapse left them short. Kapp was player of the final last year; I expect she will be again today
i watched it. My team is southern braves and we went to see 2 matches in person this year, both of which were great (but disappointing for a SB fan!)
my daughter who is 10 loved it, and i would never have taken her to watch a test match. We took her this time cause the kids tickets are cheap at a fiver
ps i also really like the format (and unlike you have not much trouble understanding the graphics). It is fast and furious and stuff actually happens
We've just finished watching the girls; now a quick brew and we're back to watch the lads.
Question Author
Tried watching this rubbish again - nope, not for me. If you want a quick fix - a boundary, a catch, a knock over OK. If you want to watch cricket try something else.

It's not as bad as baseball tho' - it's infinitely worse!
that's fine - some people like test cricket, some like other formats, some (shocker!) dont like cricket at all!
The hundred has been a complete sell out for most matches which means that clearly not everyone agrees with you
Well, there we are. No spoilers but two very close matches; how often do you see a test match as exciting as they were?
that was v exciting in the end (even though i have no dog in the fight)
I see that Marizanne Kapp was the only person to score more than 26 in the two matches today. A fine player.
