Done one in the first race (Flaming Spear) and may do Dubawi Fifty in the last.
Probably the 2 worst races on the card. Lol.
Some good racing to watch today but not for betting in, imo.

Hopeless this end. Glad I went out and enjoyed the sunshine and sea breeze. A couple in the tv picks but nothing back for that. Ah well said the soul. Ahh soul said the well. Try again tomorrow. Just had a busy half hour making sure that everything that needs it is secure and tied up in the garden. Big storm forecast for us in the next 12 hours. It is very warm and...

Just had a look. Scarlet Dragon was 20/1 when I put my bet on, WH paid out at 33's. Thought they might but wasn't sure online.
Ordered the CD from Amazon this morning, Togo. Will also download it to my TV, but will use the CD when working or being driven to race meetings later in the year:-)
Ended Day 4 in pocket with the wins on Dandalla and Peace Prevails (New) plus a £2 win on Just Glamorous in the first at Lingfield @ 9/2.
Having another stab at the football, tonight. Just put a £5 acca on but will wait until I see the line-ups for the Spurs v United match before I decide on a correct score. Not watching the first of today's games, though.
Well done with the Dragon, Spice. I've done 2 of Hollie Doyle's rides e.w. this week. Knew she would ride a big race on one of them at this meeting. Unfortunately for me, she chose to wait until the last race to do it:-/
12 years old, they put me in a suit
Forced me to marry a prostitute
There were gold fringes on her wedding dress
That's my story, but not where it ends
She's still cute, and we're still friends.

Genius never fades:-)

Don't quite understand why we have such an early start?

2.15 N'm; King Ragnar @ 3/1 (£3 win)
4.10 Asc; Highland Dress @ 17/2
5.20 Ke; Maid Millie @ 5/1
5.35 Rip; Highland Acclaim @ 15/2

3 x £2 wins, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £28, 4 winners = 32,664.

1.50 Asc; Qaader @ 11/4
3.35 Asc; Sceptical @ 3/1
4.40 Asc; Who Dares Wins @ 1/1

£1 Trixie, £1 Treble. Poss return of £90.50.

£1 e.w. on Gabrial The Wire @ 66/1 in the opener at Ascot
£2 win on Campanelle @ 5/1 in the 1.15 Ascot.
£2 win on sharing @ 13/2 in the 2.25 Ascot.

ITV7; those mentioned above plus Pinatubo 3.00 Asc. £1 e.w. acca.

Best of luck, all :-))
Haha Ken.....Gabrial The Wire gets a £1.00 e/w @66/1 from me too. The draw doesn't help but you never know with Fahey and the Doc.
Still kicking myself for not having a small e.w. on his 3rd placed outsider, yesterday, T. Not making that mistake today and we know that GTW will be running on at the end of the race - hopefully past quite a few beaten horses :-)
I've only ever placed two horse racing bets: one was backing Corbiere when it won the Grand National, and the other I can't remember. But with an empty day ahead, I've signed up and completed my picks for the ITV 7 (with a lot of help from today's paper). What chance beginner's luck?!
You and me both.....considering I put it in my bet when it ran at Newcastle 2 weeks back. Doh.
As much chance as anyone. "She who must be obeyed" picks the "nice" names when she has a go.
Brainiac, if you hit the ITV7 on this, your first attempt, I will never speak to you again. Particularly if you ignore my begging letters :-/
All the same, good luck ;-)
Okee Dokee....bets are done. All over the shop today trying to winkle a winner or two out of a baffling card. Even had a look at the yankie horses in a yankee. Done the following
Campanelle @5/1 1.15 Asc.
Sharing @13/2 2.25 Asc.
Sceptical @3/1 3.35 Asc.
Gulliver @12/1 4.10 Asc.

£1.00 E/W Acca. 30p E/W Doubles and Trebles.

Also...
Qaader @11/4 1.50Asc.
Threat @14/1 3.00 Asc.
Sharing @13/2 2.25 Asc(again)
£1.00 Trixie

Done the ITV7 which has the 5 horses from the above( first named is not in it) and King Ragnar 2.15 Nm, Who Dares Wins 4.40 Ascot.

5th Haha take the £17.50 for that all day long Ken.
Koukash and Fahey must laugh their socks off at some of the little scoops they have Ken. I laugh and I am only a watcher. Love to be a fly on the wall when they are putting a plot together. Pair of rascals.

Aaagh. Just got in. Saved me some money in the first anyway.
I can see every Fav winning today except the Wolkingham now. (was going to say the 2 Wolkinghams)
The US horse is a worry against Quadrilateral, might do a F/C.
I'd love to see Sceptical win. What a story.
Bad news, Togo. I picked Gulliver in the Wolkingham too.

I notice ITV aren't bothering to show the QM live. I know it's not the race it once was but it's not like they'd have to bump anything special to show it. Rant over.
Nothing wrong with our pick Spice. Been running well and has won a good race in soft going before. The draw is good, the jockey is top drawer. The only thing that puts me off doing the thing usually is the name! Raises my hackles after some of the donkey droppings it does on here. :))
I look for that owner's(Withernsea Thoroughbreds) colours when they are running up in Scotland....they seem to do well up there.
Boosh Campanelle wins for me Frankie riding the American horse for Wesley Ward. Had a good start here guys.
Question Author
Yes, and ken had it. I missed the race because of my rant, lol. So we've all done OK so far.
So smiles all round, so far. Missed the earlier races. Do you know when someone asks when you first realised you were getting on in years? My 'moment of realisation' has arrived today with my daughter's 40th birthday. I'm much too handsome to have a 40 year old daughter!!
Got in just in time to see Qaader run a good race but well in pocket from the GTW and Campanelle. Another winner and i'll probably recoup what I put in Daughter's card:-/
And I don't begrudge a penny - (Just in case she tunes in).
