We have currently a local person who has built a number of structures in
his garden.
They range from a casino, bowling alley, soft play area, dolls house, tennis court, badminton court, squash area, bar, cinema. I'm sure there is more.
I actually went round it a year ago as I collected the twin grandchildren from a party there a year or so back. I was amazed what was there. It seemed to go on for ever. The local council are taking him to court to demolish it all. It is not doing any harm to anyone so why?

presumably because he is not compliant with planning law?
if that's an actual casino... is it just a doll's house, or buildings big enough to walk into?
blimey... if everyone decided to build one of those, half the county would be concreted over
I'm currently halfway through a life size replica of the Eiffel Tower, the lady upstairs hangs her washing on it.
'More money than sense', as my late mother would have put it.
top half or bottom half, mamya?
Did top first obviously.
gets trickier when you try to balance the four legs.

Blu Tac?
The Eiffel tower fell down ? :-(
For anyone who has not actually been to the Eiffel Tower, let me tell you that it is the biggest rip-off known to man.It was built in 1889 to commemorate the centenary of the French Revolution and was due to be demolished a year later. That was before someone had the bright idea of retaining it as a tourist attraction. La Compagnie de la Tour Eiffel was thus formed. The staff are paid fanstastic salaries; the last time I was there, over 20 years ago, even the lift boys were on £30k a year. All this from the pockets of tourists who think they are having an experience. My advice is don't. You are herded into the lifts like cattle and even if you get to the top the chances are that it will be so misty that you can't see anything anyway.
Jack , you can't visit Paris and not " to up "the tower .?
The only French people you will see in the Tower are the staff. The locals wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.
^^That's mainly because of the 19th century law forbidding the carrying of bargepoles within the city though so not a great example.
Blimey Caran, who's the neighbour? Donald Trump?!
If he never had planning permission, then it serves him right. Buildings can't go up like that willy nilly all over the country.

JD, I love the Eifel Tower, especially when it's all lit up and sparkly like at New Year.
What an eyesore.
He tried to be clever and get round the Planning Laws.
He's failed and now has to demolish the monstrosity.
His neighbours are (rightly) less than keen on ahving it blight their houses/property prices.....

He has been very clever in the building of it. Most of it is 18 foot below ground. All the rooms are full size, there is nothing dolls house like about it.
