Sturridge will be England's top scorer in the World Cup.

I'm in agreement, hopefully he can do big things in Brazil.

Has he any tips for the derby ?

Didn't see a formula for that on his chalkboard, weecalf.
My tip would be: any horse with a French name, it's worked for me in the National.
Chill, I also agree with Stephen Hawking, Rooney never turns up at big matches.
I have a simpler (and probably more accurate) prediction for England's world Cup chances:

P(England wins) = 0.

Jim, you know has to be greater than zero. Maybe 0.00001?
Maybe greater than zero but it's a good first-order approximation!
Prediction, England's first match = draw.
Any bets on England getting out of the group stages.

i'll have some of that action, tony
It will be hard work for them I think, excel.

of course - - - they always struggle
Yep. excuse this time, heat.

If they do get out of the group, they'll probably do it @rse about face i.e. get a bore draw when a win is expected, then upset either Urugauy or Italy by beating them against the odds.
They never make it easy for themselves, just look at Italia 90.

Here are the formulae
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2641564/Stephen-Hawking-analyses-World-Cup-data-work-formula-Englands-success.html

I'm always intrigued by these sorts of formulae that scientists come up with for things like the probability England will win, the formula for a perfect penalty and even things like the formula for a successful relationship

I am reluctant to question the world's cleverest man, but it's hard to see how there can be sufficient data available on things such as the 'colour of the player's hair'- and is there any logic to hair colour being a factor? Did the Professor Hawking also take into account what the player had for breakfast or which colour underpants he wears?
Hope Roy Hodgson takes Prof Hawkins formulae into account when selecting the starting eleven.
