I didn't watch it but Google provides the answer as David Gray.
A few players have, the lst one being John Higgins 2011
In order, Ronnie O'Sullivan has lost at the Crucible to:

Alan McManus (1993)
John Parrott ('94)
Stephen Hendry ('95, '99, '02)
Peter Ebdon ('96, '05)
Darren Morgan ('97)
John Higgins ('98, '07, '11)
David Gray (2000)
Marco Fu ('03)
Graeme Dott ('06)
Mark Allen ('09)
Mark Selby ('10)

Not sure why David Gray was the specific answer -- first this millennium?
perhaps they said guitar-player.
Was David Gray the only player to knock out Ronnie O'Sullivan in the FIRST ROUND of the World championships?
Was he lowest ranked player to beat him?
Fu also knocked Ronnie out in the first round, as did Alan McManus. Possibly the lowest-ranked, though?
LOL...right.
Wonder what the actual question was?
Anyone else thinking 'I wish everoptimistic had missed the question'?
It was a version of Pointless called Potless and the commentators had been asked to name one from any of the players who had beaten O'Sullivan at The Crucible.
Ah, I see. Makes sense, now.
