That is a bit of an issue.

But it wouldn't be a Russian Olympics unless there was some sort of controversy.

20 days for me to wait before I can start ignoring it. A farce on ice more like. The first ever Winter Olympics to be held in a sub-tropical resort - doubling as the mafia capital of the country. It's allegedly cost more to stage than the Beijing summber Games of 2008, which is quite a staggering thought, partly because, allegedly, an astonishing one third of the estimated cost has gone in bribes to and from construction companies, and partly because vast swathes of unspoilt mountain terrain have been vandalised into a Winter sports complex. And that's possibly not even taking into account the cost of the security operation. Even the FIS President has spoken out against the corruption.
